Mid-week swimming lesson update

Because of our trip I may not be able to update pictures on Friday. I thought that I would do a midweek update of Mati's swimming lessons. She is becoming quite the little fish or I must say the little mermaid. I am very proud of everything that she has learned at Miss Dru's!

Week 1 of Swimming Lessons

This past week was our first week of swimming lessons at Miss Dru's! Mati has done great! She is a little skeptical about certain things that she has to do, but once she gets her confidence up she does very well. I am so proud of the progress that she has made just after one week. Miss Dru and her staff are truly amazing. The children will do things for them that they won't do for us parents. I will update the pics for week two on Friday. Who knows by then she may be doing a flip off the diving board.HA HA!

Mati and Friends. Mati and Ashton have really counted on each other to overcome their fear of the big pool. Mati had to have her picture made with Miss Stephanie. She will not be there for week 2 of the swimming lessons so we wanted to make sure we had a picture with her.

Mati is really swimming! And yes she jumped off the diving board. "I don't want to is not an option at Miss Dru's! She has done so well this week!

'Mati and Crew' warm up for their swimming leassons singing "Spiders on the Water." Then they go under. She loves the songs! Yep we come home singing these for hours after we leave.

A vacation with Meme and Grandaddy Jerry

We just got back from a wonderful vacation with Meme and Grandaddy. We had so much fun playing in the sand and water. The visit with Meme, Grandaddy, Alexa, Elliot, and Hampton was so awesome! Hampton is wonderful with the kids. He is so attentive to their needs. Thanks MeMe and Grandaddy for a great vacation at the beach!

We enjoyed snow cones made especially for us by MeMe and Grandaddy. These were a delicious treat on this hot afternoon!

Neive and Eoghen came to visit us at the beach. We were so glad that they came to see us!

When we first got to the beach we could not wait to get down to the water. So....we unpacked the car, suited up and went down to the beach. Daddy, Hampton, Mati and Reed enjoy the first evening at the beach.

VBS Baptist style...

This week we enjoyed yet another Bible School. Grandmother wanted Mati and Reed to go to their bible school with her. Yet again, they had a great time. On the last night the church had a Hawaiian party. We had such a good time!

Reed enjoys his sucker once we got home! Isn't he cute in his little Hawaiian shirt!

Once we got home Mati wanted to pose for one more picture with her Hawaiian outfit on! Thanks Aunt Jo for the outfit! We are always able to 'dress' the perfect part.

Reed went to VBS with grandmother too! She wouldn't dream of leaving him out even though he stayed outside playing the whole time. He had a great time there too!

During recreation time we played with the inflatable rings. Mati thought that it would be fun to get inside the rings!

More 4th pics

On Saturday we went to Grami's for lunch. PJ, Mark, and Darlin were there. I was able to take a couple of pictures of the kids with PJ. They just adore her, and in turn we are so greatful to have such wonderful friends in our life.

The 4th...at Gemma and Papa's Lake

Every forth of July we have the privilage of going to "Gemma and Papa's" lake. We have so much fun riding the Jet ski and pontoon, swimming in the lake, and playing at the lake house. This year Jonathan, Amanda, and Eli came too. We were also lucky to have a visit from our Irish friend Eoghen. We had so much fun!
